Winter Eye Health

November 24, 2014

Winter months on the east coast may be filled with cold, blustery days and a winter wonderland with glare from the sun coming down on it.

There are a few simple precautions that you may take to keep your eyes healthy and safe during these cold months.

1.  Wear your sunglasses with UV protection:  The sunlight in winter months can be quite bright, especially when reflecting off snow.

2.Keep your eyes moist:  keep your eyes away from direct heating sources and consider using artifical tears to hydrate the eyes as winter months can be quite drying.

3.  Wear goggles: esp if going skiing, snowboarding, or doing other outdoor activities.
