New Treatment Available for Dry Eyes and Corneal Problems

March 24, 2015

We have been using amniotic membrane tissue grafts on the eyes for the past 3 years with excellent clinical results.  The natural tissue has healing properties and natural therapeutic actions to reduce inflammation and promote healing of the ocular surface rapidly.

I have had excellent results with it on many patients for problems like severe dry eyes, corneal ulcers, and recurrant corneal erosions to name a few.

It is a very simple office procedure that takes less than 10 minutes to perform.  The amniotic membrane device is very similar to a contact lens that is often left on for about 5 days and then removed by the physician in the office.
