Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is a common and contagious eye infection.

There are some severe strains in the area now of adenovirus conjunctivitis also known as EKC or epidemic keratoconjunctivitis.

This is caused by a virus.  Please practice good hygiene to avoid contact, including frequen hand washing and limitting touch of eyes and mucous membranes.

Common symptoms include sudden onset of redness, swelling, and tearing often accompanied with foreign body sensation and light sensitivity.

Please limit exposure to others if you have this infection and notify your health care provider.
