I get this question often. Is it safe for me to do inversions if I have glaucoma? Studies show that when one does an inversion yoga position that the pressure in the eyes may rise to the 30s within 15 seconds. Thus, it would not be recommended to do these poses if you have narrow angle glaucoma, glaucoma, or are at high risk of retinal detachments. If you have any of these eye conditions, please consider modifications of these poses to avoid further risk to your eye health.
