Attention Golfers: Consider Polycarbonate Lenses

A recent analysis of golf related injuries showed that 51% of injuries (most related to the eye being hit with the ball or club) resulted in the globe of the eye being seriously injured or open and over 33% of these injuries required removal of the eye.  These scary facts were recently published in an  article on the American Academy of Ophthalmology website.

Thus it is recommended that all golfers consider wearing lenses or glasses made of polycarbonate or safety material.  This material is also used in thinner, lighter lenses and contains UV protection.
