The LASIK Procedure
The LASIK procedure will be done in several steps.
-
Consultation - where our expert staff will answer all your questions.
-
Evaluation - we will get some custom wavescanse of your eyes. Dr Kotecha will thoroughly evaluate your eyes and review your test results with you.
-
Procedure -
-
you will get some medication to relax you and some numbing medication around the eyes. A laser is used to create a flap on the cornea. You may feel some pressure on your eyes at this time, however this procedure usually takes less than 30 seconds.
-
Next the corneal flap is lifted and the surgeon uses a precise cool laser beam to reshape the cornea. The flap is repositioned.
-
-
Post procedure - patients are encouraged to go home and rest that day. Most patients notice dramatic vision improvement within a 24 hour period.
